Air PanamaPanamaDomestic FlightsAlbrook
Air Panama is Panama’s primary domestic carrier, connecting the capital to Bocas del Toro, David, Changuinola, Chitré, Santiago and the Pearl Islands from Albrook (BLB), the domestic terminal in Panama City. For visitors wanting to reach Panama’s diverse regions quickly, Air Panama is the default choice.
Air Panama’s route network
Air Panama operates from Marcos Gelabert / Albrook Airport (BLB) — conveniently located 15 minutes from Panama City’s Casco Viejo. Core routes include BLB–BOC (Bocas del Toro), BLB–DAV (David/Chiriquí), BLB–CTD (Chitré/Azuero) and BLB–OTD (Contadora/Pearl Islands). Flight times range from 20 minutes to Contadora to 55 minutes to Bocas del Toro.
What Air Panama does well
Air Panama’s greatest strength is making Bocas del Toro and the Pearl Islands accessible without the long road or sea journeys those destinations otherwise require. The Bocas del Toro flight — 55 minutes versus a 9-hour drive through the mountains — is one of the most transformative domestic air connections in Central America. Air Panama’s crews are deeply familiar with Panama’s terrain and weather.
The private charter extension
Air Panama’s network is geographically concentrated on Panama’s Pacific slope and Caribbean north. The Santiago (SYP) to Coiba connection is one of the few Air Panama routes into Veraguas, but the airline doesn’t reach the remote corners of Darién or the smaller Pacific cayes accessible only by private charter or boat.
